Have you recently been exposed to a lot of sunlight? Gotten a sunburn? Been out in the wind or spent a long time in the pool?
If so, then those are probably the culprits and it'll clear up in a week or two. Just be gentle with your skin, use moisturizer and a good lip balm. I like carmex for my lips when they suffer damage, but there are others that may be better that I don't know about.
If it's none of these, then please give more details and maybe I can help you figure it out?

This could be due to sensitivity to the sun or maybe whatever it is you use on your face, combined with the sunlight that you're in is causing your skin to react that way. Visit your doc or a dermatologist who'll be able to find something strong but mild enough for sensitive skin.

Well, I don't have much info on your problem but mabye it's just a sunburn. If you're really concerned I recomend seeing a doctor or at least letting us know a little more info. It could also be a sign that you're not drinking enough fluids. Try drinking at least 2 more cups of water a day than you usually do, or eat fruits that contain a lot of juice. (I usually just eat fruits, but water is cheaper. :p)

Have you recently been exposed to a lot of sunlight? Gotten a sunburn? Been out in the wind or spent a long time in the pool?
If so, then those are probably the culprits and it'll clear up in a week or two. Just be gentle with your skin, use moisturizer and a good lip balm. I like carmex for my lips when they suffer damage, but there are others that may be better that I don't know about.
If it's none of these, then please give more details and maybe I can help you figure it out?

This could be due to sensitivity to the sun or maybe whatever it is you use on your face, combined with the sunlight that you're in is causing your skin to react that way. Visit your doc or a dermatologist who'll be able to find something strong but mild enough for sensitive skin.

Ghee is also very good, apply a little ghee every night. This keeps lips moisturised. You could also apply lemon juice to your lips daily, to lighten them slightly. Wear lipstick with sunscreen, as uv radiation may cause pigmentation.

If you have a habit of licking your lips or chewing on your lips that can also cause the problem you are having. Trying to heal the problem without using a topical ointment of some kind is difficult. If the issue is wearing the lip balm in public then only wear it at night when you are about to go to sleep. Caramex is excellent and if worn at night only will take care of the issue in about a weeks time if used faithfully.

Whats your heat/ humidity, what's the igs diet, how large is he/her, does it have access to water, are you feeding it everyday, whats your heat source, what is the ig inside of?
Iguanas need a wide variety of foods, due to the fact they dont sweat they pant like dogs when over heated, keep the gradient temp of the enclosure at 80 -82f with a basking spot of 90f, also keep humidity around 70%. Make sure you have at least one hide box and branches for the iguana to climb, substrate should include reptibark, or astroturf, stay away from shredded substrate dust will clog nostrauls.
For food stay away from all live, feed things like:
Collard greens, butternut squash, parsnips, snow peas, bok choy, stay away from acidic fruits, and throw away that commercial food, it hurts more than helps. Also, be sure to add B2 vitamin found at walmart, just crush one pill and sprinkle over food, also add 2:1 calcium phosphorus powder made by T-REX found at Petco.
Also you may have problems with shedding, check your igs nose, see if there is white buildup by it, if there is he has retained shed around his nos. vents and that needs to come off because it is clogging up his airways, the best thing you can do for that and actually I would do this monthly any way, is put about 2'; of water in the bathtub, make sure the water is around 85-90 degrees and put povidon iodine in the water just enough to make it like a dark tea color, this will help remove the retained shed as well as help future sheds come off easier, make sure when you look into the igs mouth while it is open the mouth is not white but rather a nice pink/red fleshy color, and not alot of slim/mucus. If it is white colored then he has a respitory infection, at this point you need a vet like yesterday.
The best book you could ever own being an IG owner is, Melissa Kaplans ';Iguanas For Dummies'; this will be your iguana keeping bible, trust me and everything is super easy ready and put into lamens terms so that way any one can read it.

my lips are sore when i open my mouth even if i put balm on my lips it still is dry.on my top and on my bottom ,it has dots on it and it really hurts , its fully red and when i eat it hurts.

The dots make me wonder if you have a yeast infection on your lips. Yes, it's possible. If that is the case, you will need to get a prescription from your doctor. If the dots are just in one area about 1/2 inch in diameter, it could just be the start of a cold sore, but if it's all over your lips, you may need to get a doctor's opinion.
If it's just a cold sore, then none of the remedies, such as blistex or orajel or the other sort of cheapish ones, will truly make it go away, although they may help the pain somewhat. Abreva, which you can get at your local pharmacy or many of the larger grocery stores (it sells for 13-17 dollars for a teeny tube) will get rid of it before it has a chance to grow any bigger, as long as you apply it 5 times on day one and day two. You can buy it without a prescription now. If it is a cold sore and is left untreated, it will grow into a large bumpy blistery mass, then pop, bleed and scab over. The dots make me wonder if you have a yeast infection on your lips. Yes, it's possible. If that is the case, you will need to get a prescription from your doctor. If the dots are just in one area about 1/2 inch in diameter, it could just be the start of a cold sore, but if it's all over your lips, you may need to get a doctor's opinion.
If it's just a cold sore, then none of the remedies, such as blistex or orajel or the other sort of cheapish ones, will truly make it go away, although they may help the pain somewhat. Abreva, which you can get at your local pharmacy or many of the larger grocery stores (it sells for 13-17 dollars for a teeny tube) will get rid of it before it has a chance to grow any bigger, as long as you apply it 5 times on day one and day two. Sweling and blister on the virgina lips what could it be?
Ive got a lump blister like thng on 1 of the lips of my virgina..it is really ictchy sore and painful to go to the toilet. i was looking at a website and it seems i may have thrush...but just incase its not.any other ideas of what it might be and how it can be treated? any help would be great...Thanks. xO.Sweling and blister on the virgina lips what could it be?
If you are sure it not herpes then it could just be a simple blister!, or a really bad ingrowing hair. It def is not thrush, thrush would not give you a blister. Try sudow cream, it may sooth the pain when going to the loo. I would not worry 2 much, it could also disapear on its own. P.s. use femfresh or simple soap so it doesnt get irritant. Carmex is a good lip therapy, it's usually yellow, but I'd get the red cap, it's the best flavor!
Vaseline.
Much cheaper than anything and it works.
Burt's Bees Peppermint Lip Balm. It's all natural. None of the synthetic stuff that dries your lips out even more.
Carmex, it doesn't taste great but that keeps you from licking your lips which doing so will only make it worse!

For fuller lips that are smooth and soft: brush your lips softly when you brush your teeth. Out line your lips with lip-liner that matches your lipstick. Color in softly with lipstick and then apply lip gloss over top. This will make them look fuller.
For thicker lashes use your mascara by pushing it in instead of outwards at first, pushing mascara in the make them look thicker. Do one or two strokes outwards to finish.
If you have a problem with clumping eyelashes, use the mascara wands tip and put it where the clumped eyelashes are attached to the lid and pull out to seperate.Are there any makeup tricks that will leave me with lush and full lips and lashes?

- Use a really suttle lip liner like a light brown or tan

It gets too wet and sticky to put a lot of coats on at once. As for your lips just try a good plumper or something. A good plumper will make your lips sting.

(this holds the curl all day long, and makes them look longer naturally)dont make it too hot you'll burn yourself. to test if its too hot put it on you cheek first. ok once you warm it use it to curl your eye lashes before you put mascara. hold it for like 10-15 seconds. and then put the mascara on start deep in the roots. and if you want them longer...put on mascara wait for it to completely dry then put it on again. and repeat this like 3 or 4 times. this works but i dont like doing it. cuz it makes them look too fake. to make the eye look bigger and wider use brown eye liner instead of black. and somthing that i love to do it use natural tones for eye shadow. and get them in 3 different shades. light, medium, and dark. put medium on lid, dark where the crease is, and light above that. well i hope i helped i do these and they work for me, they look great! have fun!

You can purchase lip glosses that plump your lips i know MAC has some...and lashes you can apply false ones or just get a lengthening mascara first like Diorshow Unlimited for your first coat then apply the Dior Lash Out masacra followed by you curling your lashes then appling a cat eye look with Liquid eye liner to make that final POP!
I'm not sure about lips, use a lip plumper maybe. For lashes, when you put on mascara, wiggle the brush through your lashes. They look wayy fuller and longer!

If you want your lips to look better, when you apply lipstick put it from up to down, or diagonally. lip liner makes them stick out, but i don't suggest it.
Your lashes, but mascara then press them up with that tool, its an eyelash presser it makes them so nice.
Lashes: put on ur mascara first (doesnt matter wat kind) and then get a lash curler and hold on ur lashes for 8 secs. that should do it.
Lips: there is lipstick that u can buy that is called lip plumper..u can get it just about anywhere that sales makeup and that works wonders.
buy some lip plumper at bath and body works if you have one. If you go into the store, they will show you where to find it just ask for lip plumper. It's only about $5-$7! It works great and makes your lips look nice and fuller. Also, try using more mascara and maybe curling your eyelashes!

You can purchase lip glosses that plump your lips i know MAC has some...and lashes you can apply false ones or just get a lengthening mascara first like Diorshow Unlimited for your first coat then apply the Dior Lash Out masacra followed by you curling your lashes then appling a cat eye look with Liquid eye liner to make that final POP!
I'm not sure about lips, use a lip plumper maybe. For lashes, when you put on mascara, wiggle the brush through your lashes. They look wayy fuller and longer!

buy some lip plumper at bath and body works if you have one. If you go into the store, they will show you where to find it just ask for lip plumper. It's only about $5-$7! It works great and makes your lips look nice and fuller. Also, try using more mascara and maybe curling your eyelashes!

An all natural chap-stick will do the trick.
Your lips act like a sponge. Keep applying a moisturizer to them, and they will plump.

Why Are My Dog's Nose, Lips and Gums Turning Pink?
We have a 5 year old female Cairn Terrier who was born with black skin on her face. Her nose, lips and gums have always been black. I've noticed that they are slowly turning pink. I think you know that regardless of anyone's education or training, it is impossible for us to say what is going on with your dog without seeing it. It may be something completely normal, or it may be an allergy, or any of several skin diseases, or (God forbid) cancer.
Have you moved? Have you changed her food? Have you changed her bowls? Is she rubbing her face or scratching? Does she have any other symptoms like coughing or sneezing? Do you have other pets? If so, do they have anything going on with them? Do you have any weird itchy places or rashes? When did you first notice this change? As you can see, there are many questions that need to be answered before a vet can make a list of 'rule-outs', or possible diagnoses.
Then tests must be done to rule-out those possibilities until just one correct diagnosis is reached. They can take skin scrapings, etc. to look under the microscope and see what is going on. They may need to take a skin biopsy or do bloodwork, etc.

when my boxer was not being eating properly and his weight was going down, sometimes the white part of the area near his nose, turned pink...the vet told me to try a different food...once I did that, he no longer had the pink problem.
Well i'm not a vet or anything but I would say that you might want to check it out by one. I have seen this happen to some of my friends dogs when this happens i usaully means there healty they might be low on some vitiams they need in there body. If you change there food diets to IMAS(sp?) or science diet this may help.

I am a Freelance Makeup Artist with the same problem, so I have the perfect and most professional solution.Line your lips with a nude lip liner the size you want them, but not too much and follow its natural shape. Then apply your concealer, then foundation and then your loose or translucent powder over the edge of your lips that are not inside the lined area. The best way, honestly, IS to quit. Have you ever seen those old men with white mustaches but they have a yellowish patch of hair right where they smoke? That's nicotine. As soon as you stop smoking, this will start to fade.
Another way to avoid it, or reduce it - drink lots of water. Also, after smoking, try to wash your hands and rinse your face. Wiping your face off with a damp washcloth will remove external nicotine/smoke residue that will otherwise sit on your skin and stain it over time. When I was growing up I had dry, cracked lips all the time. As a teenage girl no one wanted to kiss me, so around the age of 16, I started exparimenting making my own lip balm and it is the best! I havn't had cracked or chapped lips for over 20 years! First you buy some bees wax, get some vaseline and some white Crisco, you know, that white cooking greese that comes in a can. You will also need an empty lip balm tube, twisted so the inside chamber is at the bottom of the tube.( I use a lot of empty tubes at a time so I can have several ready when I use up one). You can make a little or a lot. In a pan put a big spoonfull of vaseline and a big spoonfull of Crisco, put it on the stove on a very low burner and melt them together. Here's the tricky part, after they are melted, add about 1/3 of a spoonfull of bees wax, that will melt too. Now swish the pan a little to make sure they are blended, then put a drop on the stove, wait till it hardens ( a few seconds ), then press and rub your finger on it. If it has the consistancy of Chap Stick, it is just right!! If it is too soft or too hard, add either a little more bees wax or a little more vaseline and Crisco. If it is too soft, add bees wax, if it is too hard, add the other. It must be like Chap Stick! Now put your empty tube or tubes on the stove, (in the twisted down position), you know, when you twist a tube of Chap Stick up to put it on your lips, and when it is empty it is in the (down) position. Now you are ready to pour the liquid into the tube or tubes, it should be sorta cool but still a liquid, then let the tube harden,( putting it in the freezer for a couple of minuts will do it) and your all set!!!! When they come out of the freezer, clean any drips off, pop on the lid and you are all set! The best lip balm around, all my friends and relitives use it! I must warn you, don't melt it too hot and don't let it smoke, it smokes real easily. It will leave your lips soft and supple and you will never have chapped lips again! Oh yeah, one more thing, STOP CHEWING YOUR LIPS!!!!!! P.S. I forgot to say that if it is too hot when you pour it into the tube, it will warp the tube then the lid won't fit right. Also with my stuff, your lips WONT look shiney and wet like lip gloss!

Oh yeah, one more thing, STOP CHEWING YOUR LIPS!!!!!! P.S. I forgot to say that if it is too hot when you pour it into the tube, it will warp the tube then the lid won't fit right. I did research and they don't look or sound like cold sores(which I've never had). I've been using vasoline for 2 days and blistex for 1 day. They don't seem to be getting better....Any ideas or suggestions??I have red bumps(blister like) on the inside of my lips.?

I am willing to bet that this is a cold sore outbreak because I had a similar problem and didn't realize what the blisters actually were.
Acyclovir is a prescription drug that helps prevent and/or heal an outbreak. The over the counter stuff is expensive and doesn't do a very good job in my book.

It's completely normal. My lips get chapped in the winter too. If you're like me, you lick your lips out of habit, even when your outside. The moisture on your lips causes them to dry out faster in the wind, or something like that. :) My hands dry out too. Just get some good lip balm and hand moisturizer. when she's off to elementary school, you don't want to kiss your daughter on the lips in front of other kids and parents.
Never if the intent is chaste. A grieving father could kiss his deceased daughter on the lips during her funeral service.
It is never immoral. thats just fear rubbish. My daughter loves kissing me on the lips, she is 10 years old. She is gonna marry me when she gets older also, so she thinks. :)
