Had new dentures put in on Friday. Top and Bottom. Now have dry lips, and sores on both sides of lips outside.

Sores feel like fever blisters, but dry up and are itchy. Should I go back to dentist to get medicine for this or is this normal and will go away?Had new dentures put in on Friday. Top and Bottom. Now have dry lips, and sores on both sides of lips outside.
Yes, you need to be seen by your dentist. It could be an allergic reaction, it could be from having your mouth opened if you had several extractions prior to placement, it could be just getting used to the new dentures, just not sure without looking at you. What I can tell you is that any sore spot whether under the denture or on the lips should be looked at. If it is something caused by the denture, the dentist can alleviate it before it gets unmanageable for you.
