My lips are sore when i open my mouth?

my lips are sore when i open my mouth even if i put balm on my lips it still is dry.on my top and on my bottom ,it has dots on it and it really hurts , its fully red and when i eat it hurts.

can any one tell mr why its like thatMy lips are sore when i open my mouth?
The dots make me wonder if you have a yeast infection on your lips. Yes, it's possible. If that is the case, you will need to get a prescription from your doctor. If the dots are just in one area about 1/2 inch in diameter, it could just be the start of a cold sore, but if it's all over your lips, you may need to get a doctor's opinion.

If it's just a cold sore, then none of the remedies, such as blistex or orajel or the other sort of cheapish ones, will truly make it go away, although they may help the pain somewhat. Abreva, which you can get at your local pharmacy or many of the larger grocery stores (it sells for 13-17 dollars for a teeny tube) will get rid of it before it has a chance to grow any bigger, as long as you apply it 5 times on day one and day two. You can buy it without a prescription now. If it is a cold sore and is left untreated, it will grow into a large bumpy blistery mass, then pop, bleed and scab over. It will look yucky for about 10 days, but then go away.My lips are sore when i open my mouth?
I'm not sure about the dots - maybe talk to your doctor about it?

But I find when I use lip balm my lips just get dryer...is that just me? Oh well, maybe you could stop using it.

Are you using a lip balm/gloss or something you could be allergic to? Try leaving them alone for a while and see if it gets better
I t happens only when you open your mouth right. So avoid one small motion of your body. Dont try to open the small hole you are having right under your nose, just under your upper lip, your problem will be solved for ever.
put a lip balm or a petroleum jelly could help.

And at least take a bath everyday so u can release your body heat and it won't sore ur lips.
oh its probadly blisters, just take sum anti-biacotics. This can happen when u eat 2 much greasy or fried food.
maybe its going to be a coldsore...wait and see
